“Animal Welfare School” is an educational project carried out by the GGI, designed to develop social responsibility, compassion and encourage volunteering ideas of the younger generation. During the project, the GGI volunteers conducted lessons in schools. The goal of the project was achieved by visiting 21 school and meeting with 1800 students.
During the lessons, together with the students, the history of animal welfare in the world and in Lithuania, animal welfare violations and their consequences, the situation of stray animals in Lithuania, ways to contribute to issues of improving the situation of stray animals in Lithuania, responsible consumption (wearing fur, testing of cosmetics on animals, and etc.) and opportunities for volunteering in the field of animal welfare.
