After Russia invaded Ukraine, we realized that we need to help not only people, but also pets suffering from war. We quickly organized a work group that carried out various aid projects at different stages of the project:

  • Collecting financial support and providing it to shelters, volunteers taking care of homeless pets;
  • Collecting and transporting food and medicine support to the partners in Ukraine;
  • Organization of distribution of transported support to shelters, individuals, organizations engaged in rescuing pets during the war;
  • Assistance in evacuating pets from the war zone;
  • Searching for temporary guardians in Lithuania who can take in pets from Ukraine;
  • Pet vaccination project;
  • Pet sterilization project.

This is what we have done and are doing together with you during five months of the war (data as of 31/05/2023):

  • We are collecting financial support. You donated EUR 301 461,20 to Ukrainian shelters and project implementation. Here you can monitor where your financial support is used.
  • We collected and delivered humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Over 160 tons – that much food for animals we have already transported and distributed in Ukraine with the help of local partners. Thank you for donating to pets of Ukraine. Food collection is currently suspended.
  • Our organization contributed to the evacuation of 68 pets from Ukraine, their quarantine, treatment, care, and then the search for permanent homes.
  • For your donated money, we bought and delivered 12,000 doses of rabies vaccines to Ukraine, which were distributed by our partner USAVA (Ukrainian Small Animal Veterinary Association).
  • We are carrying out a pet sterilization project in Ukraine. 4 105 pets were sterilized/castrated (3 168 cats and 937 dogs). Sterilizations/castrations financed by your donations take place in Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Kramatorsk, Kryvyi Rih, Kropyvnytsk, Poltava, Mykolaiv, Uzhhorod, Vilnius, Zaporizhia and a mobile clinic in the Donetsk region. Pets can be registered for free sterilizations by volunteers who look after pets on the streets and elderly people who keep pets at home.
  • We constantly provide information and assistance to those who arrived from the war zone with animals, we provide food to refugee centers, which they distribute to those who arrived with animals.

Thank you for doing good work together! With Ukraine Do Peremogi!
